Piet Hein brings with him over 15 years of global structured debt experience spanning both capital markets and loan markets. Piet Hein is well known in the asset backed funding world and has built a reputation for his in depth knowledge as well as an unwavering ability to get deals done.
From 2009 to early 2014 Piet Hein ran his own advisory and consulting business. During that time he worked on a wide range of asset backed funding transactions and mortgage related assignments in the Netherlands consulting for companies such as KPMG Corporate Finance and Bishopsfield Capital Partners.
Piet Hein played a pivotal role in bringing all the Dutch securitisation industry together in launching the Dutch securitisation standard and the Dutch Securitisation Association.
Prior to that, he headed up ABN AMRO’s Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets group in Hong Kong. This role involved the origination, structuring and negotiation of Structured Finance transactions in the Asia Pacific region, in particular China, Korea, Taiwan and Australia.
In the years before moving out to Asia, Piet Hein was the lead originator and structurer of ABN AMRO’s Benelux DCM/ABS team, based in London and responsible for the origination and execution of a vast array of Structured Finance transactions for Dutch and Belgian clients.
Before moving to London, Piet Hein was part of ABN AMRO’s Project Finance Oil & Gas team. In that time, he worked on and successfully closed the first ever public Project Finance transaction in Brazil.
Piet Hein holds a Masters Degree in Financial Business Economics from Erasmus University, the Netherlands.
